Extra Extremadura Part II - "Big Birds"

By "Big Birds" I mean the following vultures and eagles plus, of course, that iconic bird of Extremadura, the Great Bustard.  Add on the Black Stork and you have the makings of a wonderful selection of birds.

A selection of the score or more Great Bustards  Avutarda Comun  Otis tarda
What a lovely green sheen on this Black Stork  Ciguena Negra  Ciconia nigra

A soaring immature Golden Eagle  Aguila Real  Aquila chrysaetos showing plenty of white

Compare the white leading edges to this magnificent Spanish Imperial Eagle  Aguila Imperial Iberica  Aquila adalberti
The mainly white Egyptian Vulture  Alimoche Comun  Neophron percnopterus

A wandering Griffon Vulture  Buitre Leonado  Gyps fulvus  on the look out for its next meal

And here comes the even larger Black Vulture Buitre Negro Aegypius monachus (also known as the Monk Vulture)
