This is the story of a
Night Heron Martinete Comun
Nycticorax nycticorax family; Mum, Dad and the four kids. You would think that with all the reeds and water there would be both plenty of room and food; room to stretch your legs and wings, find a spot on our own for some peace and quiet. But, was ever family life that simple?
| Well, that's most of the family. Where are the other two? |
| There's sulky. Why must he always hang around on his own? |
| I'm sure he gets that picking his skin from you! |
| That's my boy; always on the look out for something to eat. |
| We're going to lose him one day if he keeps wandering off on his own. |
| Enough of this, I need to have a good stretch before I do anything else. |
| I think I'll just nip indoors for a quick siesta. |
| Now where's he got to? |
| Hey Mum, Fred and Jack are still missing. |
| There's no point hiding down there. I thought I told you to go and find Fred! |
And so ends the day of the
Night Heron family. Good night everyone.
